Frequently Asked Questions

Elysian Renewal providing therapy in Goodyear and throughout Arizona, starts with the end in mind. We focus on our clients receiving comprehensive, intentional therapy in which the goals established at the beginning of therapy is achieved in a reasonable amount of time.

We want to empower our clients to come and address the issues in their lives that they need to work through to live their best life.

When you meet your goals, we meet ours, and it’s our ethical responsibility to empower you to be the best version of yourself while you’re with us, but not become reliant on us.

Our therapist is experienced in creating a peaceful setting to help you feel safe, valued, and supported throughout your healing journey.

Everything that is said during a therapy session is completely confidential with three exceptions:

1) if a child is in danger, 2) if you are in danger of harming yourself, or 3) if you are planning on harming another person.

This includes minor clients. The therapist may discuss progress and goals with parents, but will not discuss the exact content of children and teens’ sessions with parents unless it falls under one of the above exceptions.

We currently provide virtual sessions for anyone residing in Arizona. We are accepting new patients with immediate availabilty.

Elysian Renewal offers in-person therapy in Goodyear, AZ, and the surrounding area, but there is currently a waitlist for new patients. If you wish, we can begin with virtual therapy and move to in-person as soon as there is an opening.

We do not take insurance, but we can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. See our rates page for more details. Elysian Renewal does not guarantee reimbursement from any insurance company.

Clients are encouraged to call their insurance company directly to confirm out-of-network coverage.

Important questions to ask include, but are not limited to:

What are my out of network mental health benefits?

What is my deductible or what is my out of pocket max?

Do you cover session code 90834 for out of network benefits?

We value the mental health of our clients and clinicians. While we understand a client’s desire to see a therapist who takes insurance, often times practice’s who take insurance have therapists seeing approximately 30 people or more per week, which we find to be an unrealistic caseload for maintaining the mental health of our clinicians and an appropriate level of service for our clients.

For this reason we developed the 34-35 session protocol to ensure that our clients receive comprehensive therapy over a reasonable amount of time, with achieving their therapeutic goals in mind.

This also allows us to serve our clients in the Boutique style of Therapy that we value.

We do partner with Mentaya to offer insurance reimbursement assistance to our clients. See our rates page for more details on this convenience.

Individual sessions are 45-50 minutes long.

Family sessions are 50-60 minutes long. Family sessions occur when we invite a family member to support the therapeutic needs of the client. This most often occurs when parents or siblings are invited for a supportive session with a child or teenage client. See our rates page for the cost breakdown of each type of session.

We provide therapy with a unique protocol. We recommend clients see their therapist for at least the following duration:

1 x a week for 6 months

2x a month for 3 months

1 x a month for 3 months

This results in about 34-35 sessions in a year and allows you to achieve your goals.

If you would like to work with a therapist for a longer duration or need more weekly sessions, we can absolutely arrange for this support. At the end of each phase, we will assess your progress and determine if you are ready to reduce your sessions per month. We aim to empower our clients to set therapy goals that are achievable within a reasonable timeframe. Additionally, we offer a reduced rate for clients who opt to pay upfront for a year’s worth of sessions. If you want to add more sessions after that initial payment, those will also be offered at a reduced rate. See our rates page for more details.

Be aware that while this is a recommended timeline, we offer individualized Boutique Therapy to serve each client’s unique needs. This means that the length of time can varies greatly between clients and is dependent on what issues they are working through and how long they’d like to spend in therapy. Our goal is to get you to a place where you are stable, empowered, and consistently applying tools on your own to maintain your freedom.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify your therapist as soon as possible.

We have a 24 business hour cancellation policy. Our office is closed on weekends and holidays. We implement this to respect your time, and the time of our clinicians. We only work with a small group of individuals, so when an appointment becomes available, we do our best to offer it to one of our clients.

Elysian Renewal will charge the standard session rate for any no-show appointments or cancellations within 24 business hours of the appointment time. The practice may waive these fees for extenuating circumstances.
